This transaction allows an existing BC Company to submit information to register the company in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan as an extraprovincial company.

Before you can register you must be an active BC Company.  If you wish to register in Alberta you must have obtained a NUANS search report to ensure the name you use in BC is also available in Alberta.  If you wish to register in Saskatchewan you must have obtained a Saskatchewan name search report to ensure the name you use in BC is also available in Saskatchewan.

The Alberta NUANS number and 'valid until’ date are required unless an assumed numbered name will be used.  In that case, a NUANS number and 'valid until’ date are not required.

If the new BC company name is not available in Alberta and the Alberta registration already has an assumed name, you may decide to retain the Alberta assumed name.  Please include the Alberta NUANS number and ’r;valid until’ date of the NUANS name search for the company name.  If the Alberta NUANS number has expired you can enter the current date.

The Saskatchewan name reservation number and 'valid until’ date are required unless an assumed numbered name will be used.  In that case, a name reservation number and 'valid until’ date are not required.  If the new BC company name is not available in Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan registration already has an assumed name, you may decide to retain the Saskatchewan assumed name.  A Saskatchewan name reservation number and ’r;valid until’ date are not required.

Note:  a numbered BC Company does not require an Alberta NUANS search report or a Saskatchewan name search report.
