When a foreign entity applies to register to do business in BC, it must provide the following information about the company in its home jurisdiction:

Step one

Enter the corporate number assigned to the foreign entity by its current jurisdiction.  

Step two

If applicable, enter the full name of the foreign entity's current name in the foreign jurisdiction.

If the foreign entity's current name is already displayed, verify that the name is correct.  If it is incorrect, click on If name is incorrect, click here.

Step three

If applicable, verify that the assumed name for use in BC is correct.  If you are unsure, click on What is an assumed name?

Enter the date of incorporation, organization or most recent date of amalgamation or continuation.

If applicable, select the name of the foreign entity's current jurisdiction from the drop down box.  This is not available for federal companies about to be registered as an extraprovincial company.
